Our Mission
Provide to our students a Comprehensive Human Formation:
Technical and Professional Education &
Faith Formation and Development.
Technical and Professional Education:
Technical and Professional Education:
Since 1992, the Lasallian Volunteers Association has established a Mission to lead many youngsters out of poverty by providing technical and professional education. In Mbalmayo-Cameroon:
Our organization has dedicated a great amount of resources to permit a vocational training and suitable curriculum, which guides/leads youngsters into a career or service with a basis for higher education. The students are immersed in the labor market, or advance to a higher education granting additional training in a specific trade. We work to develop programs that are adequate to the needs of society in which the students live. With the support of many organizations, we change and adapt our curriculum to provide training to undergraduate and graduate students in search of employment. There are short and long term programs for young adults with difficulties finding jobs in computer training. In 2006, as a result of the Institute of the Brothers of Christian Schools, we were able to innovate a career development formation program, to help out of school aged adolescent mothers acquire jobs as administrator assistants, as well as providers of computer services to small businesses.
In Kelo in the Republic of Chad:
The Lasallian Volunteers served in Saint Joseph Technical High School, a school run by the Brothers of the Christian Schools. Lead by the same desire and aspiration to provide technical and professional education to the poor children of Kelo, the Brothers and the Volunteers formed a colorful Lasallian community who enjoys their mission.
The Lasallian Volunteers Mission has a success rate of 90% in building self-reliance.
Faith Formation and Development:
We believe each person has the right to grow in the faith of choice. In our school we make sure every student is served to permit growth and love to serve God according to his faith tradition. Apart from our weekly traditional Christian animation, we also provide an environment allowing every student to live by their faith.
Our uniqueness: we are marked by many years of experience working and living together in the same house “community”; brought together by our desire to provide freedom to disadvantaged children from poverty and illiteracy. This quest has built our capacity as an interfaith group to search for the best mean to respond to challenging issues. We brought together Imams and Pastors to work with us. Carried by our faith and service, with this question in mind “What is the purpose of our faith and of our humanity”, we have been blessed to serve almost 1000 youngsters for the past twenty years. We have the ability and determination to bring more people from different religions to work with us.
